Discerning Action in the Moment

How do we know when it is the right time to follow the wisdom of tradition and when it is the time for a change, the time for action?  Dr. Svaboda explores the revelatory nature of the times we live in and looks at how we can integrate our actions in the world with our spiritual practice.

“This question of tradition vs. innovation has been going on a long time. Is one better than another? No, sometimes things need to change – sometimes they don’t. When you are at that boundary, it is always this question. That is why we try to be at that boundary. We try to act at the moment when action is the right thing to do. To change when change is the right thing to do.” – Dr. Robert Svoboda

Calling on Backup (11:45)

Dr. Svaboda talks about calling on the support of higher energies – like invoking the Goddess Kali – to aid in our individual and collective healing. He explores how our Sādhanā, our spiritual practice, slowly frees us from delusion.

Seeing Our Blind Spots (18:10)

In what way does spiritual practice reveal our blind spots to us? Dr. Svaboda looks at how we can work with our blind spots and let that awareness inform our actions.

“This is where the real Sādhanā comes – when you get down to the blind spots. View your blind spots dispassionately, remain calm, keep moving forward.  “- Dr. Robert Svoboda

Mindfulness and meditation teacher JoAnna Hardy breaks down the three levels of delusion and explores how we can shed the bright light of wisdom on our blindspots on Ep. 57 of the BHNN Guest Podcast
