Determining What is Real

How do we ascertain what is what? Dr. Svoboda explores the art of determining what is real, using four methods of understanding taught to him in the context of Ayurveda. The four basic ways of understanding what’s going on are direct experience, inference, analogous situations, and the testimony of experts.

Heart and Intuition (13:40)

In addition to these ways of the rational mind, we also need to check in with the heart and intuition. Dr. Svoboda talks about the process of feeling the rightness of something emotionally, and also connecting with our intuition. This is especially important these days with the proliferation of fake news and technological trickery.

Connecting to the Supreme Reality (18:07)

The question of what is real is more difficult to answer than ever before. Dr. Svoboda gives some tips for determining truth in the age of the Internet, and talks about what to do if we get overwhelmed and overloaded. We need to connect to the Supreme Reality, which is really awareness without limitations. Dr. Svoboda ends by wishing us truth and reality.
