A Story for the Time of the Pandemic

In this flowing and eloquent BHNN Guest Podcast, Llewellyn tells the tale of ‘When the Source Ran Free‘ – a story for the time of the pandemic. To begin, reflecting on the difficulties we have been through since the onset of the pandemic, Llewellyn shares the role stories can play in helping us remember the sacred, bring the unborn to life, dance new beginnings, and cultivate love, connection, and understanding.

“Stories are what bring the unborn to life and allow their songs to be heard and understood. Stories are what weave us into the many colors of existence, and take us by the hand and lead us into the circle of life’s dance. At this time when we are surrounded by all the signs of a civilization that has lost it’s way, that has forgotten what is sacred, it is vital that we recognize there is a new dance beginning, a new note of love that bonds together humanity and the web of life.” – Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee, PhD

Speaking to Earth, Listening to Earth (12:00)

Through the lens that we are stardust which whirled out of nonexistence to live on a planet which we have been systematically exploiting, Llewellyn illuminates how to aid in Earth’s healing process through opening lines of communication with the natural world through the means and magic of song, dance, dream, and listening.

“Before the earth becomes just dead matter finally killed by exploitation and grief, we need to find the story, song, dance, dream; and so help the earth become alive again, its colors to sing in the air. Because as stories nourish our soul and give us a sense of belonging, so to do stories nourish the Earth in hidden ways. This is part of the ancient covenant between humanity and the natural world” – Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee, PhD
