Chris Grosso – Ep. 17 – Matthew Fox

Matthew Fox is the author of over 30 books including The Hidden Spirituality of Men, Christian Mystics, and most recently Meister Eckhart. A preeminent scholar and popularizer of Western mysticism, he became an Episcopal priest after being expelled from the Catholic Church by Cardinal Ratzinger, who later became Pope Benedict XVI.

  • Meister Eckhart: An Overview of His Rebellious Life –Matthew discusses Meister Eckhart’s formative spiritual years, the influence of old school mystics such as Rumi and Hafiz, the corruption of the church, Eckhart’s working with women before it was socially acceptable and why Eckhart’s teachings are as important and relevant today as ever.
