Here in the sacred space of its h igh-desert refuge\, Ghost Ranch Education & Retreat Center promises a new kind of civic education that encourages citizens to acknowledge the comple xities and even brokenness in our cherished system and yet remain fully en gaged.
\nThis transformative event is for those who value the right to vote\, to speak out and to stand up for others\, es pecially the marginalized and those often not heard. It is for all who see k an alternative to whatever makes us fearful\, angry and divided. “We the People” will explore how our greatest strengths arise from our diversity\ , willingness to compromise\, capacity to love\, and respect for all.
\nThis restorative gathering is for those who recognize that full engag ement requires dedicated and intentional time to nourish our souls as we g ain new skills and perspective. The wide open vistas and warm hospitality of Ghost Ranch offer such a sanctuary where we will create an alternative oasis of calm\, thoughtfulness\, compassion and laughter around the 2016 e lection.
\nThe experiential sessions include dynamic morning plenary sessions\, workshops\, dialogue circles\, spiritual practices\, yoga\, hi king\, private reflection and contemplative meditation/prayer.
